The Saint-Jean de Sorde Abbey has held the Qualité Tourisme™ national seal since December 2018.
Created by the French government, this seal combines Quality initiatives to enhance visitors’ satisfaction under one symbol. As a visible sign of confidence, Qualité Tourisme™ guarantees you quality services. The Saint-Jean de Sorde Abbey was awarded the seal following an audit conducted by an independent external firm.
The buildings of Saint-Jean de Sorde Abbey have been listed by the French Ministry of Culture as Historic Monuments since 2008.
The Historic Monument listing concerns buildings whose conservation is of public interest from the perspective of history or art. It is the result of a decree by the French Minister of Culture and Communication, pursuant to favourable opinions from the Regional Heritage and Sites Commission (CRPS), the National Commission of Historic Monuments (CNMH) and the owner’s consent. Buildings listed as Historic Monuments represent approximately 1/3 of all the protected heritage sites
