Monastic buildings :
Explore the most beautiful ruins of the Landes region! These 18th-century remains bear witness to the monks' final work. Restorations have revealed a simple yet monumental architecture that unfolds along the banks of the Gave d'Oloron river. A staircase descends to an exceptional cryptoporticus, a long underground gallery connected to a landing stage, whose beauty and rarity have made the abbey famous.
Educational visits by reservation from March to June and from September to November
No guided tours for groups in July and August
The abbey team offers educational visits tailored to school groups (grades 6-9). The grade 6 workshops were developed in collaboration with the Canopé 40 network and the DSDEN (Departmental Directorate of National Education Services). School transport and activities are free for school groups from the Pays d’Orthe and Arrigans region.
Duration of the educational visit : between 2am and 2:30am
Price : Free for schools in the Pays d’Orthe et Arrigans area - €3 per student for schools outside the area and free for accompanying adults
